It is somewhat disgusting to fairminded men to see that the Government which has served the country, by the country's will, for twenty-one years is being blackguarded by some newspapers as if the members of that Government — the reflection of the people who put them in office—were a set of stupid, reckless rogues, dead to every sense of decency, and wilful wasters of the people's substance.— Wairarapa " News."
