A few chains from the shore, fish of various kinds may be caught in abundance, at any state of the tide, while inland, and within three hundred yards of the spacious, and well laid-out grounds of " Mon Desir " visitors can reach the banks of Lake Takapuna, a picturesque expanse of fresh water, where good trout fishing 1b obtainable. Around the Lake, tram-cars run at frequent intervals. The beneficial climatic influences on the physical, mental, and moral well-being of visitors to Takapuna is a question worthy of the attention of all who would enjoy a healthy, happy and comfortable holiday.
