WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this Office up to and including FRIDAY, 23rd February, 1912, for the supply and delivery oi KAURI TIMBER for the New Zealand Railways. The timber is lequired for Railway Carriage building, and must be FIRST CLASS, tbe best of its kind, free from sap, shakes, knots, cores and other defects. Delivery is required at Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton, and tender rates are to be c. i. f. and c. at these ports. Particulars of the timber required at each Port may be obtained at the office of the Railway Storekeeper, Newmarket. The timber to be subject to inspection by the New Zealand Railway Department before shipment or delivery, and only sueb timber as passes inspection will be accepted. Tenders to be addressed to the General Manager, New Zealand Railways, Wellington, and to be marked outside, " Tender for Kauri." The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. T.
