The indefatigable Manchester -Unity of Oddfellows are out again with their programme of the 20th Premier Picnic, an event which has now become a classic in the annals of Auckland. The programme will be found in our advertising columns, and contains a rich variety of events. The picnic takes place on Saturday, February 17, and complete arrangements have been made for a special service of steamers and trains, while the tramway Company will also run a service to suit all requirements. The honorary secretaries are Messrs John McLeod and W. Thomas, whose experiences in the past are suificient to augur a triumphant success for this ever-popular function.
Mr S. A. Palmer, who holds the rights for the sale of Vitadatio, the well-known herbal remedy, is back again in Auckland after a ten years residence in England. Mr Palmer announces that from January 22 to 27, a free bottle of Vitadatio may be procured by anybody that chooses to call at Mr A. Ecclee' pharmacy, His Majesty's Arcade. An advertisement relative to the announcement will be found in this issue, and merits perusal by all those suffering from chronio diseases, no matter of what nature.
