Thames Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting.
Saturday, March 21. WITH a very attractive programme of eight events, the Thames Jockey Club will need only fine weather to ensure success at their Autumn fixture, which takes place on Saturday afternoon of this week. Acceptances for the various events do not close until this (Thursday) evening, 19th inst., at 9 p.m., so that one cannot speak with certainty as to the fields until the acceptance lists are out. These, however, should be satisfactory, the full entry lists being large. The material also is of the kind that promises very interesting sport. The Thames trip therefore shouH '•■rove very attractive to town sportsmen who are able to attend. There is bound to be a large gathering from the country-side. The Thames is the centre of a big sporting district, and the country horses expected to compete this Autumn arc very numerous.
