THJB> marriage of Miss Mary Ethel Jfivelyn Cotter, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Cotter, arid Mr Sidney Ham,' of Beanbah Station, Connamble, New South Wafes, was solemnized on Wednesday' afternoon, June 19th, in St Mark's Church, !»omuera. The weather was in its worst mood, but notwithstanding, the wedding was an exceedingly pretty one. Tne beautifully decorated church, lit with soft incandescent light, the charmingly attired bride and her attendant maids, surrounded by. the handsomely dressed guests, wiio tilled nearly the whole ot the church, rendered the scene within all the more attractive in contrast with the wet and gloom without. The Rev. W. Beatty officiated, and the service was choral.

The bride was given away by her father, and wore a beautiful dress of rich ivory duchess satin, skit t plain, and the bodice made with a transparent yoke of gauged tulle, finished with a berthe 01 beautitul lace caught with natural orange blossoms. Her tulle veil was becomingly arranged over a coronet oi orange blossoms, and she carried an exquisite bouquet. The bridesmaids were Misses Millie Cotter, Vera Latimer (cousin of the bride), Winni* Cotter, and Marcie HaiL (niece of the bridegroom. The first couple wore beautiful dresses of a lovely shade of rose-coloured chiffon taffeta, made with full plain skirts, and bretelles and sashes finished with pleatings of chiffon over dainty blouses of creme lace and net ; hats, trimmed with shaded pink roses and floral ribbon. The second couple wore similar dresses of pale reseda green chiffon tat eta over net and lace blouses, hats to correspond, and all carried beautifu'. bouquets. The bridegroom presented the bride with a diamond and rub; ring, and the bridesamids with handsome brooches. Mr Harold Cotter, brother of the bride, acted as best man and Mr A. E. Dargaville as groomsman. A reception was later held by Mr and Mrs Cotter at their residence, " Oaklands," where the young couple received the congratulations of their friends. Mr and Mrs Sidney Ham departed for Sydney on Monday by the s.s. Miowera.

The engagement is announced mr Christcburch of Miss Rene Ballin, of " Rotomah," Menvale, to Mr J. Bain^ of Cbrisbchurch. — «•• «•• - . An exceedingly pretty wedding, which occasioned a good deal of interest amongst a large circle of friends, was celebrated on Tuesday, June 18th, in St. Barnabas' Church, Mount Eden.' The contracting couple were Miss E, M. Webb, daughter of Mr H. T. Webb,, of "Glemsla," Mount Eden, and Mr E. J. K. Hallett, manager of the Imperial Paper Company. The church was beautifully decorated by girl friends of the young couple, and a handsome wedding bell (made by a friend) was suspended, from which, at the conclusion of the ceremony, by pulling a string, a deluge of rose leaves descended upon the bridal party. The Rev. E. J. McFarlane officiated, and the sevice was choral, Dr Thomas presiding at the organ.

The bride was given away by her father, and looked charming in a beautiful trained gown of white chiflon taffeta, the bodice profusely and tastefully trimmed with white silk Maltese lace, which formed shoulder epaulettes, caught at the waist, and then falling over the skirt. The skirt was trimmed with large medallions laced with ribbon, and finished with lace roses, hand- made chiffon roses effectively trimming the train. Her tulle veil was becomingly arranged over a coronet of orauge blossoms, and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom.

The bridesmaids were the Misses Edith and Mabel Webb, sisters of the bride, Miss Knth Hallett, sister of the bridegroom, and a little niece of the bride. All the ladies looked charming attired alike in dainty dresses of maiden- blush pinkXiouisine Bilk, tastefully trimmed with French Valenciennes lace and French knots. Their pretty white picture hats were wreathed with shaded pink velvet flowers, and they carried beautiful bouquets. . The bride presented the bridegroom with a handsome gold albert, and the bridegroom's gift to the bride was a lovely opal and diamond ring, and to the bridesmaids he presented beautiful ruby and pearl pendants. Mr Walker acted as best man, and Mr W. Webb, brother of the bride, and Mr N. Kobertshawe, cousin of the bridegroom, were also in attendance. The Wedding March was performed at the close of the service by Dt Thomas, and as the happy couple proceeded to their carriage they were showered with confetti and rose leaves.

After the ceremony a large number of relatives and friends were received by Mr and Mrs Webb at their residence, where a sumptuous repast was served, and the customary toasts proposed nnd duly honoured. Mr and Mrs £. J. Hallett departed in the evening, the bride going away in a dark blue tailor-made costume, chic hat of white felt, and long ostrich feather boa. The wedding presents were both numerous and valuable.

Her lovely shower bouquet; was of violets and white flowers, with long streamers of violet ribbon ; Miss Hallett was dainty in a dark blue tailor-made costume relieved with white, and beaver hat trimmed with feathers and chifton ; Miss Minnie Hallett was charming in brown tailor-made costume and fur hat with white bird ; Miss Marion Hallet wore a handsome costume of grey, trimmed with green velvet, and chic hat of pale blue felt, with drooping feather; Miss Ruth Webb looked exceedingly well in a tailors-made bostame of dark blue, with gold and white trimming, and hat to match ; Miss Gladys Webbe was charmingly dressed in a white frock, trimmed with wKite silk braid and buttons, and very pretty white hat j the Misaea Alexander wore
