Miss Murphy's Recitals.

MISS AMY MURPHY, of Dunedin, who gives song recitals at the Choral Hall on Monday and Thursday of next week, is probably the best known soprano in New Zealand at the present moment. Her fame is not limited to the concert platform or to oratorio, though she has figured conspicuously in both. From Wellington to Invercargill she has for several years assisted the leading amateur opera societies in their performances, and it is no secret that she has declined more than one tempting offer to launch into professional operatic work. Naturally, Auckland music-lovers are enrious to hear her.
