WHANGAREI HEADS.
The fancy dress ball held on the 10th was a great success... L H Jooked very well in his costume.. .A U seexnel to get a good hearing from the ladiss...Miss E passed a very enjoyable evening with the M C...F M and M S are about to run in double harness. ..The " goo poo eye " l,oy Miss R...H C is trying for the hand of shone to advantage when dancing w,ih L S again. ..When is R W going to break the news to I M ?...J M is lcrgiDg for her ice cream... The 0 M would like to know why A P did not pay B "Jf a little more attention. ..Too bai of the Grahamtown girls to fay that the Heads boys are slow.. .What brought J W to the ball ? Was it to see KW ? Why were you absent, K ?...Who was the young man that was disappointed because Miss H was not there ?.. Surely not H ?...C E was the hero of tbe evening.. .D C and M S were piling on Jam very thick... W S did not seem to enjoy himself at all. Was it lecause J M was dancing ?...The best couple in the room were easily picked — Whangarei boy and Auckland lady.. .Wanted, best boyg for M 8, L S, J U and F S ; also best girls for S G, A U, H R. L H and J M.
