AUCKLAND CITY TRAMWAYS. Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Body Corporate called the Mayor Councillors and Citizens of the City of Auckland incorporated under the provisions of 'The Municipal Corporations Act 1900 " hereinafter called " the Local Authority " to grant or lease (unless foi bidden by the Ratepayers under " The Tramways Act 1894 ") the full and free and sole and exclusive right power liberty and authority to work and use the Undertaking known as the City of Auckland Tramwags for a term of Two, Years from the date •of expiry of the existing concession to the Auckland Electric Tramways Company Limited (hereinafter called "the Company") granted by Deeds of Delegation Numbers 1 and 2 from the Local Authority to the Company dated respectively the 28th June 19U0 and the 23rd July 1903. The name of the proposed Grantee or Lessee— the term of the proposed grant or lease— the rent and consideration for the proposed grant or lease — at 'general description of the covenants and conditions of the proposed grant or lease and the place where the copy of the proposed grant or lease may be inspected are as follows : — (a) The proposed Grantee or Lessee is The Auckland Electric Tramways Company Limited. (v) The term of the proposed grant or lease is Two Years from the first day of June 1930. (C) The annual rent shall be four hundred pounds per annnm cleat_uf all deductions payable half-yearly m advance the first of such payments to be made on or before the first day of June 1930 and the Company shall in addition to such rent pay to the Local Authority a share of the annual nett profits of the undertaking known as the City of Auckland Tramways calculated by percentages according to the following scale :— On the nett annual profits of the Company made until r or in respect of the proposed grant or lease and available for distribution upon the nett annual profits up to £5000 a year £5 per centum and upon any excess of nett annual profits over £5000 a year £10 per centum. (D) The proposed grant or lease shall in other respects be subject to the like covenants conditions and obligations on the part of the Company hs are contained in the said Deeds of Delegation . numbers 1 and .2 so far as the same are applicable to the proposed grant or lease and the Local Authority shall be at Liberty to purchase the Undertaking mentioned in said deeds of Delegation numbers 1 and 2 as one Undertaking at the expiration of the said period of Two Years from the first day of January 1930 by valuation without any allowance for goodwill and as provided in said deed of Delegation number 1. (c) Copies of the proposed grant or lease and of tie abovementioned Deeds of Delegation numbers 1 and 2 are deposited and open for public inspection in the Office of the Local Authority being the Municipal Offices of the City of Auckland corner of Wellesley-street East and Coburg-street, in the City of Auckland. Notice is hereby given pursuant to "The Auckland Domain Vesting Act 1893" that the Auckland City Council has granted the use of the Cricket Ground to the Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club for the purpose of holding a Sports Meeting on SATURDAY. 26th March, 1904, with authority for such Club to make a charge not exceeding ONE SHILLING for each person for admission to the Cricket Ground, with an extra shilling lor every horse or vehicle, and an additional charge not exceeding ONE SHILLING for each person for admission to the Pavilion.
