BAY OP PLENTY.
It is not surprising that Mr Herrie 8 has made a good impression on the miners at Waihi. A staunch Liberal, a worker himself, and a genial, largehearted man, he is just the sort to become popular in a democratic community like Waihi. In the other parts of the electorate, where he is better known, his popularity is great. Mr Lundon, who unsuccessfully contested the seat at the last election, has secured the Liberal and Labour Federation nomination, and will have good support in the Rotorua and Tauranga districts. Rev. Mr Jordon is also expected to get a good share of the Tauranga votes. It is reportcl from Waihi that Mr J. E. Taylor U likely to stand, and, if he should, he will receive powerful support in that town, where he is very popular. He stood staunchly to the miners in their dispute, and was also foremost in the borough, hospital, and other local progressive movements. Also, Mr Taylor is broad - minded, a good speaker, and a man of marked ability.
