OHINGAITI.
The bachelors held their annual ball on the 26th September. It turned out a great success, about seventy couples taking part in the grand march. ..M H was showing strong preference for E G...J T and E C were as sweet as ever. He might let someone else have a waltz with her... A F was delighted when dancing with the M C.Hard luck J B getting beat for the grand march, but look out or H W will stoD your little game with FP. In fact, he appears to be r.iie white-haired boy now. ..The recent rains should have satisfied everyone, but J B gets an occasional bucket of water from an upstairs window... What have the girls done to J I that he keeps so much at home lately 7...8 C was piling on the jam an'J looked very fetching. Wonder where the spray came from ?...W R was charming JB at the ball. Is it love at first sight, W ? Mind the Palmerston girl does not hear of it. ..Who tore J Bs clothes and spoilt his boots ? Never mind, J ; the girls sympathise with you.
