The Auckland City Council propose mislng the second instalment, amounting to £10 000, of the Loan authorised by ' The Auckland City Borrowing Act, 1699," by the Issue of 200 Debentures of £50 each, redeemable in 21 years from Ist May. 1901, and bearing ioterest at the rate of 4% per annum, payable half-yearly. The security for the Loan and the interest thereon is the entire revenues of the City. subject ito the rights of the holders of any debentures previously Issued. An annually recurring Special Bate of 1/3 in the £ for payment of interest on loans is levied on all rateable property.
