PARUA BAY.
M S and the Island boy seemed to enjoy themselves at the Heads dance... l hear that H A and Miss C have made a match of it, bo get the tin cans ready... Who was it that lost his slipper in the ditch ?...B S looked very sad at times. Was it because he saw L M and M C Bitting in the corner and looking so loving and happy ? I heer up, B ; bat where was H ?...D K looks broken up. Do yon miss M V, D?... The dances played by Miss K. Wright and Mr £ quires were much appreciated..^ Me says the oysters at the Heads are better than those at Grabamstown...li M's smile seems to have more effect with M C than with M F... Where was CE ? Too bad of the best boy not to take yon, CD S and J L smiled sweetly at eath other in the lancers. J says he is going to win or die in the attempt...
M H was there, looking through the window. Why did you not go in, M ? Was it because the best boy was not there?.. Who was the boy who played gooseberry on the way home to Parua?...lt is said that H G would have gone if there had br en anyone there she had liked. Better luck next time, EL
