MeLeod Dares to Oppose the Pooh
Bah of Mongonui.
Mr N. A. McLbod is another young New Zealan,der who deserves well of the electors. People have wondered at his temerity in daring to oppose the Pooh Bah of Mongonui County, Mr Hoaston. But it cannot be claimed that Mr Houston has been a success as a member for the district. Tied to the chariot wheels of the Government, he has ruthlessly sacrificed the interests of the North again and again. Is it to be wondered at if the North sacrifices Mr Houston to its own interests now ? The gumdiggers as ft class have a bitter enemy in Mr Houston. Let them not forget this next Wednesday. Mr MoLeod is going straight for progress. He is a live man. We wish him every success.
