The regatta at Ngaruawahia on St. Patrick's Da? was a ereat attraction to many of the people here. .T H "was there, and seemed to be having a good time with A P.. .A D was in great demand by the two Auckland ladie*. What would P say, could she have seen him ? Do you libe peaches, A?... AW was. very profuse and ardtnt in his attentions to MB. Beware, A, of J T. ,C 6 has returned to Cambridge from Paeroa, and E K looks happy once more. Is it true he is shortly to join the ranks of the Benedicts? Plenty of empty houses in Cambridge, C.-.The engagement is announced of Mr W J 8, of Paeroa (formerly of Cambridge), to Miss M "W, of Ohaupo..P H and that bouncing lass at the railway station are doing a great mash. Look out for the old man, H ; the feathers will be flyitg about if he catches you.. .J C and L C are about to discontinue mashing, Hymen being more agreeable to their taste. Dan Cupid still smiles upon them. Look out that he doesn't blind you in throwing the rice. .8 H and M D seem to be a very loving 'pair. But would it not be more agreeable to tie the knot?...M W seemed very lonely while J Me was away at Bagtan. .L. O *ays J G is a lucky boy to be her masher. . . Self praise is no recommendation, young lady. So O M sa,ys. Perhaps he'd like you to transfer your affections to himself.
