The Unctuous Beaumont : ' I say, Mr Brett, this " weakly " journal of ours does not go well. People won't buy it. Now, we want something to boom it. What d'ye say to a picnic ? Picnics always boom the Helping Hand Mission, so perhaps a picnic might help us.'
The picnic a great success. Some of the Country Cousins are fair to look upon. Beaumont hands round the seductive sandwiches, while Brett opens the ginger pop.
