Public Notice is hereby given that an Election of one duly qualified Councillor for the City of Auckland Council for each of the following Wards in the said City, <;amely :— East Ward, North Ward, South Ward, Ponsonby Ward, Karangahape V> ard, and Graf ton Ward, will take place on THURSDAY, the 10th day of September, 1896. Nomination papers will be received for each Ward signed by two duly qualified Electors of the District, and by the Candidate, in token of his assent to such nomination, addressed to the Returning Officer, and delivered on or before noon of FRIDAY, the 28th day of August, 1896, at the respective un ermentioned places within the said City of Auckland, viz : — EAST WARD: The City of Auckland Council Office, Coburg-street. NORTH W,*RD: Messrs Hoffmann and Sons, Queen- street. SOUTH WARD : Mr C. B. Thome's, Hewin's Buildings, Wellesley-street. PONSONBY WAKD : Mr W. Lambourne's, Ironmonger, Ponsonby Road. KARANGAHAPE WARD: Mr Jourdain's, Chemist, Upper Syruoi d street. GRAFTON WARD: Messrs J. A. and JR. Bell's, Grocers, Upper Symond-sireet.
