OBSERVER ANNUAL GIFT DISTRIBUTION. The Coming Prize List. Magnificent New Piano to be Given Away. ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL RING. The annual art union md gift distribution, which we have carried out from year to year since we took control of the Obsebveb, has now become such a popular institution with our subscribers that we have no other alternative than to continue it again this year. There have now been four of these annual gift distributions, conducted in each case under the supervision of the Mayor and a committee of well-known citizens, and in each instance the result has been very satisfactory to all concerned. Last year, some hundreds of pounds' worth of charming and valuable oil paintings and other desirable works of art, etc., were distributed as bonuses amongst our subscribers, and for the coming drawing it is our intention to offer a much more valuable prize list. To this end, we have completed the purchase from Mr Hegman, of the British and Continental Piano Company, Queen-street, of a beautiful piano, which will be absolutely given away with the first prize. It is a Haake piano, and a first-class instrument, and we may add that we have chosen the Haake as the piano that would be calculated to give the greatest satisfaction to the winner. A ten years' guarantee will accompany the instrument. Other of the leading gifts have already been secured, but the full prize list will be published at length shortly. In the meantime , however, we jnay say that with four of the chief prizes will be given away the following :- -I. —A valuable Haake piano. 2. — Splendid oil painting by Mr C. Blomfield. 3. — Mr Kohn's lady's beautiful dress ring, set with diamonds and rubies. i. — Lady's valuable gold watch, from Messrs Stewart Dawson and Co.'s The complete prize list will soon be ready. Cut out the coupons now and treasure them. Eight will entitle you to a ticket in the drawing. The conditions will appear in a future issue. $ s>; .2 '■ < I ill * o > ; Ii til I "" !
