On Friday eveuiug, May 29th, the ladies' leap year ball eveutuated in s-plendid st &% T , he hall was nicely titled, not only with local people, but with numerous vi-itors from other localities. The managne committee, consisting of Misses Cossey, Hall, Ballard, Hill, and Mrs Otto, were not lacking m energy in endeavourhig to promote the enjoyment of those present. The caterinc was entriisted to Mr Otto, and, as usual he gave great satisfaction. The ladies were prettily dressed, the honour of belle beinc carried off by Miss May Hall, who wore a stylish evening costume of cardinal and amber. Mrs Otto, Miss Vintere, and Miss oSealy also looked exceedingly well
