HUNTLY.
On Thursday evening last, Mr W. Tate, of the Railway Department, who is being transferred to Penrose, was entertained at a smoke concert, held hi Mr L B Harris's hotel. During the evening Mr Tate was the recipient of a handsome gold albert. Mr L B Harris, junr., in making the presentation, spoke of the good feeling that had always existed between Mr Tate anffthe general public. Mr Tate, in a few words, suitably responded. During the evening songs were contributed by Messrs Skellern, Tribe, Devery, Delany, and others. The refreshments were in .the "hands of Mrs Harris, to whom a word of praise is due. Altogether it was one of the most pleasant evenings spent in Huntly.
