A SLAVEYS' STRIKE

Paius, Wednesday. A great strike of domestic servants is threatened in this city owing to a rash action of a resident in one of the suburbs. Last evening, happening to enter his kitchen, he discovered his female cook regaling three policemen with a collation of cold mutton. Brutally informing his faithful domestic that no followers were allowed, and that he required the cold mutton for breakfast, he discharged her on the spot. Great indignation was expressed at the incident and forty thousand servants will strike to-morrow.
