EAST TAMAKI.
After a great many dances being held in the new hall it was formally opened with a concert and social. The concert was all that could be desired, although it was poorly attended, as a great number were waiting for the dance which taxed the building to its utmost capacity. Messrs West and Page supplied the music in their usual good style, which kept all merry till the small hours of the morning. The gem of the evening, was a competition waltz between S. and B. which kept the onlookers delighted, as the former fatigued her partner thoroughly; there seems to be more pluck amongst the elder than the younger ladies. . .M.C. was in his element, he had no less than three of his old sweethearts to look after. . . What Flat Bush loses Maketu gains, E.P. has returned home.. .Hulloa! A.R. where did you get that hat?. .It was too bad of M.R. to inform J.F. that J.D. is the only flirt in Tamaki.. .What is the attraction forF.B. to Wairoa so often.. .Pighunting is a very poor excuse.
