WAIRANGI.
The O.M. thinks there are a lot of young men here that want wives, but the ladies in this district are very scarce so a number of the bachelors are beginning to wander in the direction of Pokeno.. .Is it a fact that W.McP. and W.M. are rivals with K.G., of Pokeno Valley? But the O. M. is of opinion that W.M. will be the successful man in the end. . . T.McP. is not so quiet as we think. Remember, T., next time you are making appointments with L. L. that hedges have ears.. .G.B. seems very quiet of late. Was he not successful in his last trip to Pokeno?. .B.R. looks downhearted since J.M. ' took her departure. Cheer up, 8., some day she will wander back again... A.L. is living in hopes of seeing W.McP. soon again*- as he is the pride of her heart. . . G.P. is very true to N. McS. as he is never seen flirting lately. . . H.R. intends going into double harness soon. Hope you won't forget the O.M. when, serving the cake round.
