In accordance with the provisions of ' The School Committees Election Act, 1891,' the Education Board of the District of Auckland directs it to be publicly notified that a Meeting of Householders, for the election of a School Committee for the Faikbukn's Road School District, will be held on MONDAY, AUGUST 20th, 1894, at 4p.m,.at the Fairburn's Road School. And, in accordance with Section 69 of ' The Education Act, 1877,' the Board has also appointed that the Committee to be then elected shall hold its First Meeting immediately after election, on the name day and at the same place. And. further, in accordance with the provisions of ' The School Committees Election Act, 1891,' the Board hereby calls upon the Householders in the said School District to send in writing, by post or delivery so as to be delivered to the said District School Committee not later than eight o'clock in the evenin" of - MONDAY, the 13th August, 1894, the names of persons being resident householders nominated by them for election to serve upon the .Committee for the said School District. Such Nominations shall be signed by the Proposer and by the Candidate, and shali be in the form set forth in the Schedule to the last named Act or to the effect thereof. Printed forms of nomination may be obtained on application to the Chairman of Committee .or at the School VINCENT E. RICE, Secretary. nnHE CITY SHOOTING HALL. WE LEAD, OTHERS FOLLOW. By special request, the Proprietor has opened the above-mentioned, and he has spared neither time nor money to make the City Shooting Hall as comfortable as possible. He has now great pleasure in inviting the public of Auckland— both ladies and gentlemen—to inspect for themselves the City Shooting Hall, where they will receive civil and quick attention by five men in waiting. The Shooting Range is 50 feet long, and is connected with the first and original Electric Indicator from Bull's-eye (made in Auckland). The visitors will also find for convenience a ]ocal-made Electric Battery and Compound Lung-tester combined in one by O. E. Nielsen of Auckland; also, Weighing and Lifting Machines. Taking this opportunity of thanking the thousands of persons who have so kindly favoured us with their kind attention already, I have now the pleasure of announcing that the City Shooting Hall will be opened daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Queen-street, next to Albert Hotel.
