There is also to be a ball in the evening, so that the inducements held out fora holiday trip to this pretty district are considerable. Pressure on our space this week compels us to hold over a capital fullpage picture showing the finish for the Garrett Stakes. A reduction of the illustration will, however,' be found on page i) of this issue, and the larger "picture will appear nsxt week. It is pretty safe to assume that uuarly everyone will be at the Agricultural n. ssociatioii Sports nexD Saturday. The programme comprises so much that is . novel that it is bound to draw well,and if the weather is fine the outing at Cotter's will in itself be very enjoyable. The jumping .and hunting competitions are certain to Le very exciting, and the polo match will uo a great attraction. The admission charge will be one shilling. There will be numerous side shows.
