PORT AWANUI
On the 24th May the Bohool children held their annual pionic and all returned home after tea well pleased. In the evening the elder folks met in the hall to have an evening's enjoyment in the shape of a social dance. Amongst the ladies present I noticed — Miss L. ■ Coglan, white dress, red ribbons ; Miss E. Walker, white evening dress ; Miss S. Walker, white dress, pink ribbons ; Miss F. Nelson, black silk and lace, with low neck ; Miss M. Wilkie, all red. Mr G. Lepine was M.C. The music wae supplied during the early part ■of the evening by Master W. Walker and Mr Thompson. . . C.W. was doing the heavy with T. during the early part of the evening. Beware of C.8., T.. .Miss S.W. who .promised to be faithful to Y.J. left him in the dark. How can you be so faithless S. ?. .L.C. and S.W. were acting the wallflower we11...T. and L.C. looked very beautiful beneath the moonlight when -Baying good-night. ..What was G. Le P. doing in the parlour with the two girls ? Two's company three's none.
