TRAINING NOTES.

Norton did slow work on the tan on Monday.

On Tuesday morning owing to the rain the course was deserted.

On Monday morning Booties performed long slow work. This horse looks fit.*

. Norton is not pleasing the touts at Ellerslie. They think he is not doing sufficient work.

On Monday Chester, Long Roper, and Auckland, were schooled over the big jumpß, all fencing well.

Tiritea did not like jumping the eodwall on Monday. However he is as -clever bb a kitten on his feet.

"Waterbury balked badly on Monday. He jumped the brush of the double, and could not be got over the poßt and rails.

Long Roper cleared out from Chester and Auckland in the first two rounds on Monday. He was then done with.

On Monday afternoon Scaltheen was jumped taking sodwall, double and stonewall. He jumped unkindly at the double, running out twice at the rails.

Miss Sly (Oaptivator — Madcap) is in foal to Flintlock (MoKinnon's).
