PAKIRI.
The concert and dance in the Public Hall in aid of the hall funds was a great success every way. Songa were sung by Mr and Mrs H.J. Brown, the Misses Brown (3), Miss Logue's, Miss E. Fordham, Miss Clara Fordham, Mr T. Pratt, Mr Hardy. Mr Hardy's recitation caused great amusement. The belle? They were all belles ! Messrs Greenwood and Whittaker supplied the music, while Mr Ellis Dyer acted as M.C., assisted by Mr Thomas Pratt. . . The cricket match, Te Arai versus Omaha andPakiri, resulted in a win for the combined team by 5 runs. . .
G. looked very happy at the dance, was it because F. was there ? . . What made L. go home so early. Was it became the Enight of the Spade and Spear did not pay much attention to her ?.. What was W.W. thinking about to let Mac. see his girl home ? Has he given up all hopes ? Never mind, as good fish in the sea, etc. ..What amused the larrikins so much during the concert ? It wants a stop put to it. . . What will M. do when A. goes away to seek pastures new.
