PARNELL.

Joe is going to get married shortly, though he is keeping it awfully quiet. Jack F. is always abroad at night, and he has nothing to talk about but maize, flour and oatmeal. It is no use him sticking up to the baker's fair assistant, as the boss has got his eye on him. It is vain for the produce-store clerk going out of his way after M.W., of Newton, for he does not know the price of music. At a surprise party recently held in Parnell, the invading force were individually asked what they had brought with them, only those with well-filled kits bdng welcomed. Though the party was partly expected, the people at whose house it was held provided nothing for the visitors. Oh, what a surprise !
