FIXTURES. June 3— Auckland Eacing Club's Winter Meeting. June 25— Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's Winter Meeting. Augubt 13— N.Z. Grand National Steeplechase Meeting.

— Acceptances for the A. E. C. events are due on Priday evening.

—-The amount of money iuvested at the Takapuna Meeting was £4500.

— Through a typographical error in last issue, the name of Ingorina was made to read Ingomar.

The biggest dividend at the Takapuna Meeting was £17 7s, which was paid by Jim in the Steeplechase. —On Friday next Messrs. Tonks and Co. will sell by auction the privileges of the Auckland Winter Meeting. — Tha price of admission to the Dunedin Jockey Club's grand stand and lawn has been reduced to five shillings. —Mr J. Wattie officiated as starter at North Shore last Monday. He wielded the flag very well, but gave one or two bad starts. — The Thames races were attended by about 300 people, and £426 was handled at the totalisator, the tickets being only 10s. — It is rumoured that the Hon. D. S. Wallace has retained the well-known N.S. W. jockey, • Toby ' Moran, to tide for him next season. —The Dunedin Jockey Club's Meeting was well attended, and £6,898 went through the machines, making a total of £12,401 for the two days. !< — Although carrying the severe impost of 12st 41b, in the Welter Handicap, that consistent old mare Leorina got home first. Taylor had the mount. — The weights for two of the principal events of the A. R. C. Winter Meeting have been issued by Mr J. 0. Evitt. I will refer to them in next issue.

—The Wanganui Jockey Clab's Meeting was favoured With beautiful weather, and the attendance was very large indeed. £3449 went through the machine.

— The winning jockeys at the Takapuna Jockey Club's Meeting were : Hodson (2) ; Pyne (2) ; Heafcon (1) ; Taylor (1) ; McKinnon (1) ; and McMinamin (1).

—Mr T. Wynyard is to be congratulated on the success which attended his efforts as secretary of the T.J.C. The meeting passed off without a hitch.

— The Dunedin Jockey Club have received 29 nominations for the Champagne Stakes of 1892. The Hon. Mr Ormond and Mr D. O'Brien nominate five each.

Bob Kamage, who generally rides Carbine, had the mount on Bendigo, at the V.R.C. Winter Meeting, and had the misfortune to break his leg, in the Birthday Handicap. Special credit is due to the management of the Devonport Ferry Company for the excellent arrangements made for the conveyance of the public to the race meeting.

—The Handicap Hurdle Race, which was held over at Potter's on Saturday last, was run off on Tuesday, •when Antic proved the winner, beating Pica, and in the Pony Trot Nellie got home first.

— The Trotting meeting at Potter's Paddock was well attended, and some good dividends were paid. In the Selling Eace, Disappointment paid the thumping dividend of £130 16s on a 10s ticket. The lucky holders were Messrs C. Bailey and Alison of North Shore.

—Mr S. H. Gollan has named hie yearlings as follows : B or br c by Nordenfeldt — Florence McCarthy, Taireur ; b or br c by Nordenfeldt— Frailty, Mouequetaire ; br c by Nordenfeldt— Nellie Moore, Culloden ; b c by Leolinus—Woodnymph, Leontini ; br or blkf by ArtilleryEscalade, Forlorn Hope. — While on his travels Sir George Grey visited Broken; Hill at the time the race meeting promoted by the Broken Hill Jockey Club was in progress. The club gave Sir George a hearty reception, and the committee entertained him at the conclusion of the meeting. In replying to the toast of his health, Sir George flaid, 'he considered Broken Hill was fully entitled to ank as the eighth wonder of the world.'

— An Australian paper says : — ' The owner of Carbine wrote to the Wajrnainbool Eaoing Club- "It was like your cheek asking me to send Carbine down to the Warrnambool people to gaze at. I would do so if it 'twere not that the horse is such valuable property that I can't afford to send him about the country to be viewed though I know it would be done by some of the best 'Sportsmen in the Western district."-'
