'Misconception of Christianity.'

Bey. H. J. Lewis, ahle man though he is, has relinquished the attempt to combat the doubts and objections to Christianity raised by Mr W. W. .Collins. Mr Lewis takes the ground that it is a weak sort of Christianity that is always on the defensive. Does he like it to take the offensive, and assert itself by fire and sword ? Then he says it is futile to reason with doubters. The days are past for saying • Come and let us reason together,' apparently; and all we have to do is to give over sceptics to the devil, with the apostolic benediction — •He that doubteth is damned.' Does he not show great misconception of Freethinkers ?
