Tony is quite well again ; he is taking the doctor's advice, and going in for more bullock'B heart. Bob says the iady from the hill does not care for the smell of meat, so now he will try his luck across the road. Be kind to him, Sarah. Evening drives seem to agree with Archie. A goo l^ horse and pleasant companions are enough to make anyone sing * Ehren on the Rhine.' Sydney's departure waß taken greatly to heart by some of the fair sex. Kate has said farewell to Oatmeal Jack, because Frank has arrived and has quite lost the habit of filling his pipe in church. Mary says next Christmas she will be the lady of the mill, for Jumbo is coming back to buy his late boss out. Willie says, now that Annie is bank, the Highlands of Pukekohe are as dear to him as the Highlands of Sq<rtP land are to his father. Bill says he could do with a lot of ready money and a little matrimony. Maggie says when she comes to Pukekohe again she will be Mrs Somebody.
