TE AROHA.
How happy the young lady at Temperance Boarding House looks since Percy's recovery. Will it be a match, Mid ? What about the catastrophe on Sunday last ? Didn't the the gallant town clerk exhibit his chivalry in rescuing the sculls from the willow bank on the river. It is proposed to present him with a leather medal. Louie is still conspicuous walking the streets with Fred. Ah, Fred ! you should not show your affections so much. Frank looks very bashful when in Cissy's company. Leonard is very punctual every Saturday evening, coming from Morrinsville to see the young lady. Gus says the reason he left Te Aroha for Waihi was because he could not get a young lady to suit. He still comes up very often, though. The Wairongomai widow looked very down-hearted at Southey's departure. Never mind, you have Richard left. Alice says she intends giving all the young men a share of her affections. Now, gents, there's a chance to win a prize.
