Of the numerous candidates for election to the new Parliament of West Australia, only one advocated the f one-man-one-vote Bystem. He got in. A number of enthusiastic Scotchmen at Wellington are trying hard to arrange a celebration of the Burns anniversary on the 25th irst. The valuation of the City of Auckland for 1891 shows an increase of over £10,000 on the value last year— a good sign of the prosperous timeß. 1 Six steamers of about 6000 tons each are to form a new Cunard line between London and Australia.
