Pigs Versus Men.

' Traveller '- communicates the following :~One of the men employed at one of the country sawmills saw some corrugated iron lying about, and his house being as wet inside as out, be asked the boss for the old iron to put on the roof. The answer he got was — ' Oh, the carpenters are going to build a pigsty, and what is left you can have. ' The boss thinks a pig's comfort comes before a man's. The same boss pulled the chimney down at the men's house, and on wet days they have to knock off, as they have no place to dry their clothes, unless they put them on the boilers, and then they get burnt if they don't watch them pretty closely.
