WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY FOE CHRISTMAS.
Aa a rule, our country cousins have shown themselves very indifferent on the subject of Christmas. I thought they would give valuable .aid by sending a lot of Christmas jokes, new and old^ instead of the everlasting love nonsense and local Bcandal; but it seems that they cannot, even once in a year, get out of th« accustomed ruts. The usual country page will appear next wee s k ; but meantime I give only those letters whifh have some reference to. the Christmas season :
