WAIPU
We had a visit from Max Kinkle and his talented troupe, last wtek, but I am sorry to say that they did not meet with the patronage they deserved. What was the cause of that family farewell at the corner the other morning F Is was too mean of that young man not to take the girl into the hall the other night, instead of listening at the window. How is ifc that the grnss widow and the other fair damsel-* from the corner do not go to the rink now? Are there too many gumdiggers for them, I wonder ? Nev« r mind, girls, the rink will roll on just the same, for ' Maxwellt jn Braes ace Bonnie.' Don't the Hermit of McLean's Flat pile it on at the rink with the blacksmith's fair daughter. Take care, Harry, old boy ; what will the girl in town say ? Still another trade uniou going to be formed —our local dressmaker nnd baker. Wish you luck, William. Get thecaus ready, boys.
