Judge's Bay Regatta
— The Judge' b Bay Regatta is fixed for Saturday afternoon next, and judging by the large number of entries, there should be a capital afternoon's Bport. The Union Company's fine steamer Arawata has been engaged as flagship, and this alone should have the effect of attracting a large crowd. My anticipations of the chief events are ■as follows : — Yachts and Fishtng Boats, 5 tons. — 1, Manola ; 2, Maia ; 3, Mignonette. Boats not Exceeding 3 tons. — 1, Transit ; 2, Maud ; 3, Ida. Open Sailing Boats, 18ft.— 1, Clytie; 2, Transit ; 3, Sis, Pair Gab Race.— l, E. and H. Bailey ; 2, Cook and Mclndoe ; 3, Burgess and Harvey. Junior Whai/eboats.— 1, Ponaonby ; 2, City ; 3, North Shore. St George's for a surprise. Racing Dingies, under 21.— 1. Bailey: 2, Cook ; 3, Lisdell. Maiden Gig.— l, Waitemata; 2, St. George's ; 3, West End. The swimming events I do not touch, as post entries are to be received.
