There are a number of questions that might have been, or ought to have been, asked of different candidates for election in Auckland district, but which somehow were never put. Mr Bombast : Will you pass a law compelling young men. who ruin girls, to marry them ? Would Sir Arthur (?), if he had estates in Ireland, build farm honses, and let Mb tenants live in them rent free? Would Dr Wallis kindly lend some money upon the great wooden house in Wellington ? It would be snoh fun to watch him, a3 mortgagee, stick to 'anither kirk, for the Loard's sake !' Would Sir Maurice kindly tell the public if it is true that he has got a bonus of .£20,000 for the Globo Ironworks ? If so, how did he get it, and why should the people give their taxes to bolster up a few moneylenders ? Would Mr Billy Hodere kindly state how he felt when aaked to ' get ' from the Liberal meeting ?
