The election of two members to represent Te Aroha h iding in the Piako County Council resulted in Messrs E. W. Hanmer and H. Herries securing the position by a large majority. Mays seems to be piling on the jam with the fair sex at the fortnightly dances. Mima says she hopes George will come back soon, as she feels so lonely without him. , Charlie knows whiit he is about in having the young lady behind the counter on Saturday nights, as she is the means of bringing many a young wooer that way. It i 3 too bad of Jack to have to take both the sisters out. Won't some good young man come and relieve him ? Alf says he is going to join the Bible class. Whiit is the attraction ? Is he thinking of another picnic ? bella says she will have to go to Waihi, as it bre.'ks her heart to be away from the M.C. The printer seems to be giving the fair sex a wide berth lately. How is it. Jackson, old man ? Keesmg evidently does not intend to let long Bob cut him out ; he is learning to dance, as lie can't stand seeiug other chaps uancing with his girl. Our factory book-keeper has been piling on the jam with Nellie lately. Look outj or you will have your late employer's sister pulling your bi?ard.
