PAPAKURA VALLEY

A most enjoyable concert was held in the Papakura Valley Schoolhouse So. 2, on the 31st nit., oommeneing at 8 p.m. The programme was an exceedingly good one. The following: gentlemen contributed songs : — Mr G. H. Campbell and Mr A. White ; while a step dance by Mr J. Cobine waß enthusiastically received. Miss Reid sang a pretty Scotch song, and had to respond to a decided encore. A dialogue and chair performance, by members of the newly-formed Minstrel Club, was well received, and spoke well for the future success of the club. The entertainment closed by the audience singing ' God Save the Queen.'
