The social in connection with the Panraure Quadrille, .-'■ A ssembly took place, in the old schoolroom on We'dnes- ! day evening, July 30th. The arrangements were on the.' -• mont complete scale, and everything passed off without \ a hitch. The floor was in excellent order, and first-class music was supplied, and a programme of 24 dances, was. gone through with great spirit and vigour; Mr James - Rawlinson discharged the duties of M.C. in a most satis- -,' factory manner, while Mr Rebertson as usual supplied excellent refreshments. The following were amongst the. ladies invited : — Misses Rodgers (2), Cleary (2), Sykes, Carter, Wilson, Taylor (2), McCrae, Mullgrove, Kay (3), Wren, Gauley, Corrigan (2), Cook, Newell, Johnson, > Searchfield, Gerrard, Mclnerney, Juicy, Boyle, andMesdames Wright, Maher, Pennell, Loomb, Wixon, and Smith. During the evening Mr J. Bruce obliged by " singing his favourite song ' Nobody Knows What Trouble ,; There was There,' and in response to an encore sang ' All - for the Sake of Sarah.'
