IMPORTANT NOTICE.
IMPEO raMENT OP THE ' OBSERVES.'
The proprietors of the Observer beg 1 to intimate that arrangements are now in progress for having the Observer printed on a superior quality of paper, with coloured cover, and other marked improvements, including the cutting and binding of eaoh number before issuing to readers. Although these alterations will involve a good deal of extra expense, and will make the Observer equal to the sixpenny Society Journals in London, Melbourne and elsewhere, no addition will be made to the present charge of threepence per copy. It is hoped that by maintaining and improving upon the high standard of excellence^ at which we aim, the increase in our circulation (which is double what it was a year ago) will recoup us for our outlay in making an alteration which we feel assured will meet with the approval of our readers. The Observer will appear in its new dress in the course of several weeks.
