Engaging for life is all the fashion here just now, the latest being H.L. and B.W. and G. 4. and F.C.When ia the fair-haired young lady to become 'Brown. '...The O.M. thinks it won't be long before B.K. and M.H. run in double harness, as he overheard B.K. asking how much timber it took to build a 4-roomed cottage and a fowl house ...Who were the young men sitting on the bridge on Sunday evening criticising everybody as they passed? I think W.K., V.H., W.C., and J.G. were about all. The O.M. heard some of the remarks passed, though not seen himself... What a mash the two Miss H.'swere doing with A.M.D. andG.A. Shouldbe more careful when the O.M. is looking . . , T . W . looks quite himself again , when out with Miss W. The O.M. hears it will end with cake and cards yet... Latest style of masher dress here is : Black coat, white vest, checked mustn't mentionems, hard hitter, white tie, patent leather shoes, and cane ; that's sure to fetch the girls.
