J. pi'esented a grand spectacle when, riding the finish, on the piebald at the Waiapa races... The boss masher (?) in Kaeo says the girls in Kaeo are not worth wiping his feet on. And he a gentleman. (?)... ls E. Gr. seeking consolation in the charms of A. T. for the loss of H.P...8. says her third steward is better than the Kaeo boys. He looks well in the smoking cap...J. H. is back at the old sp jt, and the fair one is happy once more. I wish him luck!...J. deserves a leather medal for the surprising agility he showed in extinguishing that lamp.
