HOW TO MAKE A PEEP SHOW.
' Peepshows' are always attractive at bazaars;, juvenile parties, &c, &c. A capital peep show may be made out of a large packing casev. This should be lined through with lj#itcoloured paper : the lid is removed, and tlffetop covered with gauze. I remember (says a lady correspondent) making a large one some years ago that brought in many shillings at a country bazaar. The case was lined through with pale blue paper, and the wallsarranged with flowers and drapery as if for a ball. We cut out the coloured figures from «., La Mode lllustree and other fashion books, and mounted them with glue on little bits of wood : these were nailed in their places in the case. Our pictures were most useful, for everything that could be brought in correctly was appropriated. Some glass chandeliers from the doll's house, the band from a box • of toy soldiers, and flowers arranged in miniature banks, all added to the success of the show.
