CONTRIBUTOR'S BOX.
'Minnie,' Grahainstown, sends the following recipes : — BAELEY WATER. One ounce of pearl barley, rind of one lemon, juice of three, sugar to taste. Put barley and lemon into a jug and pour one quart of boiling water upon them. This ■will be found a nice drink for invalids. SCONES. One pound of flour,' two ounces of butter, one teaspoonful of baking powder, one egg, one teacupful of milk, a little salt. Bake five minutes. [We take this opportunity of again reminding readers that we shall be glad to receive as many contributions for the ' Box ' as possible.]
