THE COOK'S ORACLE. A DAINTY DISH.
Place in a stewpan the yolks of four eggs, a pat of fresh butter, a spoonf'uTof chutney, and salt and cayenne to taste. Stir these ingredients on a slow fire until they form a fairly firm paste. Now take some sardines. Carefully trim each fish, and absorb their moisture with a fish-cloth ,. Thoroughly mask them with the mixture, egg and crumb tnenisep'arately, fry to a delicate hue in clarified butter, mount them on strij)s of thin, crisp toast, and -serve hot. — 'Madge,' in Truth.
