Engine-driver Mac. wanted to test his pugilistic knowledge with Sandyafter the concert. The cardinal bows- on Mrs F.s dress were not becoming. What took Madge to Wanganui ? Was W. the attraction ? George the watchmaker has got the Alexandra limp. The Harmonic Concert was a great success, Miss Gaby taking the palm for her magnificent rendering of "Silver Rhine " and "Pretty Swallow." In the comedy, Miss Armitage, Miss James, and Miss Usher sustained their respective characters vei'y -well. Miaa J. promises to develop into a first-rate amateur, but she must be careful of her voice.
