SIR,— Tlie Tweeds now being manufactured by ■the Mosgiel and Kaiapoi Mills have already taken a prominent place in Colonial Markets, especially of Victoria and New South Wales, from their Excellence of Quality, Superior Finish, and Moderate Cost. As showing the high opinion held of the Mosgiel Tweeds, they were awarded a Gold Medal at Melbourne, 1881, as the most meritorious of the class ; a First-class Certificate at Sydney, 1880 ; and a Bronze Medal at Vienna, 1873. The Kaiapoi Manufactures were awarded a Gold Medal at the International Exhibition of 1882 ; and First Prizes at Auckland 18S2 and ISS3 '; at Duuedin, 1882 ; and at Christchurch 1881, '82, and '83. The New Season's Tweeds are now being manufactured, and will be to hand direct from the Mills at an early date. In order that facilities might be -within the reach of the Residents of the Provincial District of Auckland, for securing at Mill Prices these Manufactures, the New Zealand Tweed Company was established, and Mosgiel and Kaiapoi Tweeds may now be purchased at their premises, Short-land-street.
